Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 26, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to FAVSYNC 2. We value your trust and are fully committed to protecting your personal information and privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and protect your data when you use the FAVSYNC 2 web application, extension, and related services.

2. Data Collection

On the Web Application

  • Account Data: When you register, we collect your email address, profile name, and login credentials (cryptographically hashed passwords handled securely by Supabase Authentication).
  • Bookmark Data: We store bookmark items you explicitly save, including URLs, page titles, custom descriptions, category tags, user-configured tabs, display order, and timestamps.
  • Subscription & Payment Details: If you purchase a premium plan, transaction and billing metadata are handled by our secure payment gateway providers. We do not store raw card numbers on our servers.
  • Technical Logs: We collect standard logging information such as IP addresses, browser types, and requests to verify account security and maintain platform reliability.

Via the Chrome Extension

  • Active Tab Details: To allow quick bookmarking, the extension retrieves the URL and Page Title of your active browser tab. This only occurs when you actively click the FAVSYNC 2 extension button.
  • Browser Bookmark Access: If you use the optional "Browser Bookmark Folders" bridge feature, the extension reads local bookmark tree structures to display folders for mapping. Bookmarks are only synced to our database if you explicitly choose to link a folder.
  • Session Authentication Tokens: The extension stores secure authentication tokens locally in your browser's extension storage (chrome.storage.local) to maintain your login status securely.

3. How We Use Your Data

We utilize the collected information to:

  • Provision, run, and maintain the bookmark syncing platform.
  • Authenticate and secure user access to dashboards and synced databases.
  • Process premium subscriptions and check billing status.
  • Respond to user support requests or address platform issues.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information, browsing history, or bookmark collections to any third parties. We only share transaction metadata with trusted cloud partners necessary for core services (such as cloud hosting and database provisioning via Supabase, or payment gateways).

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data as long as your account remains active. You maintain full ownership and control over your data. You can delete individual bookmarks, entire categories, or request complete account deletion. Upon account termination, all stored bookmarks and credential mappings are permanently expunged from our database records.

6. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify users of any substantial changes by posting the new version on this page and updating the date above.
